Northwest

The Northwest (Vietnamese: Tây Bắc) region of Vietnam is an important sub-region of the country that plays a crucial role in Vietnam's defense and security. It is known for its untouched beauty of landscapes and local people. The region is characterized by rugged terrain with high mountains running from northwest to southeast, with the Hoang Lien Mountains being the highest.

The Northwest is home to more than 30 ethnic groups, including the Hmong, Dao, White Thai, Black Thai, and Muong groups, each with unique cultures and customs. The region is a popular tourist destination and is home to many famous destinations, such as Sapa, Dien Bien Phu, Mai Chau - Hoa Binh, Fansipan Mountain, and traditional cultural activities.
