Historical and cultural sites in Vietnam periodically undergo renovation and repair works. Some local governments are also restoring historical buildings that were lost in the past.
As a result, travelers may sometimes encounter construction or find certain spots temporarily inaccessible. To help visitors plan ahead, we have compiled a list of sites currently affected by major renovation projects. However, this is not an exhaustive list, as smaller construction efforts may be underway at sites not mentioned here.
We aim to keep travelers informed about major renovation projects at Vietnam's historical and cultural attractions. If you know of any restoration efforts not included below, please share that information so we can update our list. Being aware of these construction sites allows visitors to maximize their experience and avoid closed-off destinations during their stay.
