Ba Ria - Vung Tau Province is located in the Southern Vietnam, to the northeast of the Mekong Delta. It's a thriving tourist hub that boasts over 100km of stunning coastline, picturesque lakes, and soothing thermal springs. Its offshore bench is rich in two vital resources: petrol and seafood. This province was formed by merging Vung Tau–Con Dao and Ba Ria in 1992, creating an attractive destination for tourists from all over the world.
The region experiences two distinct seasons: dry from November to April and rainy from May to December, with an average temperature of 27ºC throughout the year. Tourists can explore a plethora of beaches, such as Thuy Van, Chi Linh, Back, Front, and Dau beaches in Vung Tau City; Long Hai Beach in Long Dien District; and Ho Tram and Ho Coc beaches in Xuyen Moc District. In Con Dao Island, visitors can swim in Dam Trau, Hon Cau, and Hon Tre beaches, and also climb Thanh Gia and Nho mountains.
Ba Ria - Vung Tau Province has much more to offer, including Binh Chau Hot Spring, Binh Chau - Phuoc Buu Natural Preservation Zone, and popular destinations like the Communal House of Dao Ong Tran, Ben Da Church, Bach Dinh vestige, Long Phuoc Tunnels, and Minh Dam Revolutionary Area. The region is also home to over a hundred Buddhist pagodas and temples, such as Niet Ban Monastery, Thang Tam Communal House, Linh Son Pagoda, and Dinh Co Temple. Tourists can also explore Con Dao National Park, a dense forest with diverse flora and fauna, and take part in traditional festivals such as Dinh Co Festival and Nghinh Ong Festival.
