O Quan Chuong Gate

This gate is a survivor of the walls that once protected the Thang Long Citadel, and it's the only one left standing today. It was rebuilt in 1817 but has stood in the same place since 1749. The gate is named after a brave Vietnamese soldier who defended it and the citadel against a French invasion in 1873. Today, Ô Quan Chưởng Gate serves as a symbol of the indomitable Vietnamese spirit and is an important landmark that visitors should not miss when exploring Hanoi.
