Vietnam is seen from a different perspective in a Netflix film

"A Tourist's Guide to Love" was written by Eirene Tran Donohue to show Westerners another side of Vietnam.

"Vietnam has so much to offer," the Vietnamese American writer told in an interview.

There are mountains and beaches, beautiful countryside, and exciting cities. People love to laugh and have a good time. I love the fighting spirit of Vietnamese people," she said.

Vietnam has always been seen as a war story by Americans and the rest of the world. For me, it's been a love story - and I wanted to share that story."

The movie was inspired by her trip to Vietnam, where she met her husband in Hanoi.
